Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

I also attended the OUAB's Flicks for Free featuring Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 at 9pm and it was so awesome. The work put into this event definately paid off. They had houses and "sorted" you which meantly they randomly gave you a sticker with a house on it. They also had trivia challenges for each house and then picked two people who won the trivia challenge house wise to compete against the other houses. They also had lanyards for each house and a variety of refreshments including butterbeer (soooo delicious), chocolate frogs, and chocolate culdrons. It was an amazing time especially for what would have been a boring Wednesday night.

  1. I also went to this event, and I thought it was really cool. The walls were decorates with house tapestries and the food they had was really good too. I was really impressed with everything OUAB did.

  2. I am a big Harry Potter fan so I was very excited for this event. I was also very impressed by how well OUAB set up the whole event and it was a very good experience being a Harry Potter fan. I felt like I was experiencing the magic of Hogwarts! haha. The decorations were really realistic and they had the "authentic" wizard food that is in all the books. I also was glad that I got to rewatch the movie because it is now more fresh in my mind for when the second part comes out! :)

  3. Talk about getting into the culture of a movie! I found everything from the setup of the room to the unique food to be the one of the most creative ideas I have ever seen. OUAB really put in the effort to make the the evening more than just a showing of the movie, for it was an experience of Hogwarts. I am a fan of the Harry Potter movies, and to be in an atmosphere reminiscent of all of the movies with other individuals who actually understand what is going on without my mom constantly going "what's that mean?" was very refreshing. I hope OUAB continues to do the same for future movies.

  4. OUAB did a fantastic job of pulling this off. The activities they had planned around the movie were great. The food (and butterbeer) was amazing. The butterbeer tasted so much like what you get at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which was awesome. It's a great movie and it as definitely a cool thing to have the event. Hopefully OUAB will do something similar for part 2!!
